
Lynn Brooks was a reemerging pioneer of female entrepreneurialism when she opened Mittie’s Tea Room in historic Roswell back in 1987. A once popular but nearly vanished niche in the food service business, the American tea room was born from centuries of people, particularly women, socializing over tea in the afternoon and the post war reality of the 1920’s that caused women all over the country to open their homes up to passers-by for a meal or afternoon tea.
